A very evenly fought match with plenty of incidents and some good individual performances. Wrockwardine wood went in at the half time interval 2-1 up. At the start of the second half The Bridge Inn were by far the brighter of the two teams and quickly made it 2-2, The the biggest difference into todays game was Wrockwardines inability to stop Nick Porter from running at their defence at will from almost anywhere on the pitch and having already scored two he completed a hatrick with a solo goal by rounding two players and slotting the ball home to make the score 2-3. With just 15 minutes remaining and wrockwardine wood starting to gain the upperhand, Will McLeod was sent off for retalliation after a poor challenge from The Bridge Inns Number 4. This seemed to lift Wrockwardine wood and 4 minutes later Wrockwardine were given a penaly for a foul in the 18 yd box which The Bridge Inn goalkeeper saved. with 10 minutes to go Wrockwardine wood brought on sub Alex Smith who brought the score level by lobbing the goalkeeper from just inside the 18yd box ( 3-3).with less than five minutes to go Nick Porter once again stepped in and scored to bring the score back to 3-4. Wrockwardine wood were denied an equalizer in the dying seconds when the goal was disallowed for pushing in the box. MAN OF THE MATCH: Nick Porter The Bridge Inn (Newport) ...Click here
